It was a great night in Lincoln, Nebraska as Wednesday 13 came to town. This was an interesting show, as they played all Murderdolls music throughout the night. Lead vocalist, Joseph Michael Poole, who goes by the stage name Wednesday 13, was the lead singer of the Murderdolls. Between songs he spent a lot of time talking about the legacy of the Murderdolls and got nostalgic reminiscing about the highs and lows of being in that band. The Murderdolls was co-founded by Wednesday 13 and drummer Joey Jordison, of Slipknot. Joey Jordison passed away in 2021 from illness that for intents and purposes was the end of the Murderdolls.

Wednesday 13 is bringing back the music of this celebrated group and giving the songs a new life and some new fans. There were also plenty of old fans there too as I saw many of them singing the lyrics of each song word for word. It was fun to watch and see the reaction of the crowd as they got to celebrate some of these songs that had not been played in awhile.

This is a fun show to watch, especially if you are into heavy theatrics and make-up. The songs sound amazing that are pretty catchy tunes. The songs themselves are fun and have a classic sound to them. The lyrics are not something you might not want to share with your grandmother, definitely not for the faint of heart. To me, it’s all part of the show and style of who the Murderdolls were. Like a classic Horror B Movie. You can’t have all laughs, there has to be some gore in there too.

I give Wednesday a lot credit for doing the Murderdolls justice with this tour. These songs deserve to be played. There definitely seems to be a fan base out there for them. Some great highlights from the show was the Billy Idol cover of “White Wedding” and the crowd favorite “I Love To Say Fuck”. Which was a great sing along song for the night. Thank you Wednesday 13 for bringing these songs back and giving new life to them. It was a great night to soak it all in.
