I am a music fan. I love all types of music and more times than not I am listening to some type of music. I’m not a podcast or audio book guy. If I’m working or editing there is a 100% chance that I’m listening to music as I’m doing it. That being said…my experience with The Lumineers has been limited. Mainly what you would hear on the radio. I’m not a hater by any means, I just have not for whatever reason delved into their music catalog. So, when presented the opportunity to cover the show I took it. I have many
fans that are big fans and I thought I’d see what the draw to these guys are. And, I also know that the band you see live is not the same band that you hear on the radio.

All that being said…I loved the show! It was great to see a band that was diverse in so many ways. From the type of songs and even with the instruments they play. I was glad that I decided to expand my music universe. I know it’s different than what I normally listen to and maybe what most of The Pit Magazine’s readers get into. I know that The Lumineers have been around for awhile (since 2005), but this was a completely different experience for me. Even the crowd was different than what I normally encounter at most concerts. They were very mellow and just kind of sat back and enjoyed the show. A definite Colorado vibe.
