I was excited to have another opportunity to cover Seether, this was my first time covering since the 2017 “Poison the Parish” tour. I saw them on that tour at a smaller venue as the headliner. They are touring with Staind now in arenas as part of the “The Tailgate Tour”. Seether has been around recording and touring since 2002.

So, over 20 years now, and Seether are still going strong. There has been some changes of the band over the years but the mainstay constant has been lead singer/guitarist Shaun Morgan. Otherwise I say that they have been very consistent with who they are and the music they put out. There is a reason they are still recording and touring while many of the contemporaries that started out with them are not around anymore.

If you have ever seen Seether live you know that there is a general mood that is set. Very dark, lots of smoke, and generally dark colored lights set the tone for the show. Which from one stand point is a cool visual for the fans, but at the same time makes it very difficult see the actual band at times. As someone who loves to shoot the photos at the show it makes it very difficult to capture the photos you want because of this. It’s my guess it’s exactly as the band wants it. Lucky for me I’m always up for a challenge in the photography department.

As for the music, Seether is a strong as a band you will find. They sound amazing and Shaun Morgan’s voice is just as strong as it ever has been. The show is very businesslike. No bantering with the crowd between songs, Shaun does not actually address the crowd until right before the very last song. He thanked the fans for being supportive and being a part of the evening.

The set list was as you would expect, they have so many hits, it’s hard to imagine a show where you wouldn’t here “Broken”, “Fine Again”, “Fake it” and the set closer “Remedy”. It was a great performance by the band. The crowd ate it up. It looks as the Shaun Morgan and company aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
