It seems as though every time Sleep Theory makes a stop here in Lincoln, they are a little bit bigger than the previous visit. The last time I covered them they were the one of the openers, and while the crowd was very excited about them, they were one of 2 other openers. This time, they were the head liner and had the Bourbon Theatre packed to the hilt. It was a sold out show and the crowd was all in by the time Sleep Theory took the stage. Itâ€™s been fun to watch them grow and you canâ€™t help but think they are in the cusp of becoming superstars. Sleep Theory is currently on â€œThe Afterglow Tourâ€ and selling out each venue is becoming more the norm instead of the exception.

Sleep Theory have toured with some of the biggest names in rock, Shinedown and Beartooth to name a couple. They are definitely blazing their own trail. Led by lead vocalist Cullen Mooreâ€™s powerful voice, they had the Bourbon Theater eating out of their hands. The rest of the bandâ€”drummer Ben Pruitt, guitarist Landon Hill, and bassist Paolo Vergaraâ€”matched his intensity note for note, delivering a tight, thunderous performance that never let up. It was fun to watch them on stage, with the lights and energy- they are tough to beat.

From the opening song, Fallout, to the set closer- Static. Sleep Theory never let up. It was a great night, and the crowd was amazing. It was surprising to see how many younger fans that were there too. Which I think guarantees that Sleep Theory will be around for a long time. If you are waiting to jump on the bandwagon, now is the time get on board. Itâ€™s exciting to see it happen right in front of you. I am anxious to see how it will be the next time they make a stop in the area. Hopefully they wonâ€™t make us wait to long.Â
