Out of the Shadows
OUT OF THE SHADOWS marks Escape The Fate’s triumphant return and their first album under Big Noise, the new label helmed by renowned collaborator and producer John Feldmann. With a renewed energy and revitalized creative vision, the band has reached new heights. Known for their genre-defying sound, blending elements of post-hardcore, emo, and hard rock, Escape The Fate has a career spanning over 17 years. The band continues to push boundaries and captivate diverse audiences worldwide. “OUT OF THE SHADOWS” is set to be a remarkable new chapter in their musical journey.
ON WITH THE SHOW!!
The evening leading up to Escape the Fate was phenomenal and when they took the stage, they did not disappoint. This five-piece blend of hard rock, emo, and metal, covers genres for a diverse audience across the world. The musicianship of this lineup is nothing short of mind blowing with melodic, intricate rhythms, and vocals that range from growling undertones to melodies.
The highlights of the evening, in addition to the song supporting the Out of the Shadows album, was when guitarist Matti Hoffman took center stage, as the lone musician, and proceeded with blistering melodic phrasings, ripping arpeggios and sweep picking that was one of the best guitar solos I have ever seen. It was incredible. Next was the cover of Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard which the crowd loved. The entire theatre was singing along with the well-known anthem. Finally, were the fog jets and the confetti cannons.
About 4 songs in began, in addition to backdrop screens and amazing light show, were the four Co2 jets shooting fog to the ceiling and the second to the last song confetti canons, located on either side of the stage. With a countdown of 3, 2, 1 the cannons blasted confetti up and over the audience, complimented by blinding lights from the stage. It was a very cool ending to an incredibly impressive night.
