As Winona Fighter took The Old Rock House stage, they unleashed a torrent of energy. The Nashville trio including vocalist Coco Kinnon, guitarist Dan Fuson, and bassist Austin Luther brought the night’s energy to a peak. Touring behind their debut album, My Apologies to the Chef, released in February 2025, they delivered a set that was equal parts rage, catharsis, and joy. Opening with the incendiary “JUMPERCABLES,†Kinnon’s vocals and Fuson’s riffs set the tone, with the small yet mighty crowd erupting into a sea of jumping bodies.
Kinnon excited the crowd even more when she announced they’d be playing their new album in its entirety. The album’s standout tracks, like “You Look Like a Drunk Phoebe Bridgers†and “Subaru,†had the hardcore fans yelling every word back to the band. They closed with “HAMMS IN A GLASSâ€, their biggest hit from the album. Winona Fighter’s set was a masterclass in bottling the angst and exhilaration of their debut album, leaving the crowd buzzing with the kind of energy only a truly great live band can inspire.
