On a buzzing Friday night in St. Louis, The Pageant hosted The Devil Wears Prada on their “Metalcore Spring Break” tour. Fans packed the venue, ready to be swept away by a relentless lineup featuring Acres, Kingdom of Giants, and ERRA. From the moment the lights dimmed, the stage was set for an unforgettable onslaught of riffs, breakdowns, and raw energy.
The Devil Wears Prada
Time for The Devil Wears Prada to take the stage. Before the Ohio metalcore veterans even hit the stage, the packed venue erupted in unified chants of “Prada.” They roared into their set with “Mammoth,” its heavy riffs and Mike Hranica’s feral screams igniting moshers and raised fists. Mid-set, during their new track “Ritual,” Hranica called for crowd surfers, and fans obliged, soaring over the barricade in waves.
Between songs, the band shared heartfelt memories of playing at smaller iconic St. Louis venues such as The Red Flag and Pop’s, earning cheers for their nod to the city’s scene. The debut of their brand-new single “For You” brought a fresh, melodic edge, instantly clicking with the crowd. A stripped-down acoustic rendition of “Chemical” offered a rare, tender moment, with Jeremy DePoyster’s vocals drawing sing-alongs.
After closing with “Sacrifice,” The night closed with a two-song encore, building to the explosive “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?”, a nostalgic banger that sent fans screaming every word and the energy hit a fever pitch. The Devil Wears Prada reign as metalcore royalty was once again proved. From chaos to heart, this was a masterclass in headlining.
Acres
Kicking off the night, UK’s Acres hit the stage with the perfect post-hardcore grit to get the audience on their feet. The five-piece, fresh off their 2025 album The Host, wasted no time igniting the Friday night crowd. Mid-set, their fan-favorite “My Everything” unleashed a wave of sing-alongs with hands in the air. Frontman Ben Lumber’s raw delivery carried the venue through the set
Closing with the blistering “Leave You Rot,” Acres leaned into their heavier side, leaving the stage ablaze. Though their set was short, Acres set a high bar for the rest of the night to come.
Kingdom of Giants
Kingdom of Giants was next up, unleashing a masterclass of metalcore that cranked the night’s energy to new heights. With their recent Bleeding Star EP fueling the set, the Northern Californians showcased the incredible synergy of vocalists Dana Willax and Jonny Reeves. Willax’s guttural screams clashed perfectly with Reeves’ soaring cleans, creating a perfect blend.
Mid-set, Willax commanded the crowd to open mosh pits and the iconic “wall of death” that the fans were ecstatic to do. For their finale, “Wayfinder” the room lit up with phone flashlights, bathing The Pageant in a sea of glowing lights. Kingdom of Giants set the crowd ablaze, proving they’re ready to claim bigger stages.
Erra

Vocalists Jesse Cash’s ethereal cleans and JT Cavey’s screams intertwine seamlessly, similar to the act before them. the Alabama quintet opened with “Slow Sour Bleed” from their 2024 album Cure. The room buzzed with anticipation, as many fans sang every word, proving the band’s devoted following.
Halfway through their set, Cavey urged the audience to crowd-surf during the title track “Cure,” and dozens of fans surged over the barricade above the sea of hands, turning the pit into a chaotic wave of bodies. Closing with the fan-favorite “Snowblood,” the band unleashed chugging riffs and soaring melodies, leaving the crowd primed for the headliner.
