As concert season is finally upon us, Movements took over The Pageant in St. Louis for an unforgettable night of punk rock music. With high-energy sets from openers Scowl and Citizen, the show had everything from intense moshing to emotional sing-alongs. From start to finish, the atmosphere was electric.

Movements

Movements delivered an unforgettable performance, proving why they’re one of the most beloved bands in the post-hardcore scene. Their setlist was flawless, pulling songs from all of their top albums. They balanced newer material from Ruckus! with emotional tracks from 2020’s No Good Left to Give, the crowd especially happy to hear “Skin To Skin”. They of course brought it back to Feel Something, the album that first put them on the map.

The band kept things simple with their stage production—no elaborate visuals or effects, just raw emotion and tight musicianship. Lead singer Patrick Miranda carried all the energy that was needed, letting his voice do the heavy lifting. One of the most powerful moments of the night came during Tightrope, a slower track from Ruckus!. Despite its more subdued tone, the crowd was completely locked in, passionately belting the lyrics back at the band. It was a testament to how deeply Movements’ music resonates with their fans. As expected, they closed the set with Daylily, their biggest hit. The entire venue felt electric, with everyone singing along, fully absorbed in the moment.

Movements had complete control of both their sound and the audience, proving once again to their fans why their live shows are so powerful. With a perfect mix of intensity and emotion, they left fans with a night they won’t forget.

Scowl

Scowl wasted no time setting the tone for the night. Lead singer Kat Moss was a force of nature, constantly running and jumping across the stage, delivering piercing vocals that cut through the venue. The band’s heavy guitar riffs and raw intensity kept the crowd locked in, and the energy in the room quickly matched Moss’ presence. During one of their biggest hits “Opening Night”, Moss jumped down into the pit, singing directly to the crowd and bringing fans even deeper into the chaos.

Fans also got a taste of Scowl’s upcoming album, Are We All Angels (set for release on April 4, 2025), as they ripped through multiple new singles that blended seamlessly with their older material. From start to finish, Scowl delivered a high-energy set that left the crowd buzzing.

Citizen

Citizen took the stage to an already ecstatic crowd. They wasted no time making an impact, kicking off their set with “The Night I Drove Alone”. The moment the first notes hit, the crowd erupted in cheers, Thrilled that the band opened with their biggest song. Lead singer Mat Kerekes had incredible energy throughout the set, fully engaged with the crowd and making the packed venue feel intimate. Fans were especially excited when the band played multiple songs from their beloved 2013 album, Youth, including “The Summer” and “Sleep”, both of which sparked massive sing-alongs. Citizen didn’t just rely on nostalgia—they also introduced newer material, such as tracks from their 2023 album Calling the Dogs, giving the audience a taste of their evolving sound.

With a set that balanced high-energy moments and slow deep connection, Citizen proved why they have such a dedicated fanbase. Their performance set the perfect stage for Movements’ headlining set, keeping the momentum strong and the crowd engaged the entire time.
