Migos performed at Stir Concert Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 26, 2018. It was hot as hell in Council Bluffs this night. The local radio station, Power 106.9, hosted the show. And a fine job they did of it too. Why? Well, the headliner was late. When I say late, I mean really, really late. Like two hours late. When they arrived the came out strong, yet unapologetic. It was an okay set in my opinion. I brought my oldest son with me to assist, see what I do, and enjoy one of his favorite hip-hop groups. I think this set was supposed to go longer than it did, but it came up short at about 45 minutes. This show was over at the same time that Frankie Valli was performing. Both shows ended at the exact same time. Getting out was a mess.
On the upside, my son thought that Migos kicked ass and was glad I “dragged” him along.
Huge shout to my friends at Power 106.9 for entertaining the crowd for as long as they did. It looked like it was all off the cuff after about an hour into showtime. Good work to that crew!
