This was not first time experiencing Dirty Honey live…I’ve been lucky enough to see them a few times now. What I can say is…they seem to get better each time. They are the right band for right now. There are a lot of great rock and roll bands touring right now, many of my favorites. But most of those bands are getting older and you start to wonder how long can they keep going? Even with the Stadium tour happening right now, and don’t get me wrong, I love all those bands. But the clock is ticking…Dirty Honey is has all the makings to be the next great rock and roll band. They have a unique combination of a retro sound but also being very fresh to the rock and world. Vocalist Marc Labelle just blows me away every time. Each time is like hearing him for the first time. This night in Lincoln, Dirty Honey was hitting on all cylinders. A set list with a good mix of songs from the Dirty Honey EP and the new Dirty Honey album, and a couple of cool covers to top it off.

It was a late night, and on Tuesday, but you would not have guessed that from the near capacity crowd at The Bourbon. They crowd ate it up begging for more as the night went on. I believe Dirty Honey will be around for a while. They are playing the music the people want to hear. It’s clear from the crowds they draw that, rock and roll is alive and well with bands like Dirty Honey keeping the torch lit. Hailing from Los Angeles, CA…Dirty Honey will be a force to reckon with for many years to come.

Dirty Honey is:

Marc Labelle- Lead Vocals
John Notto- Lead Guitar
Justin Smolian- Bass
Corey Coverstone- Drums
