Avatar in Omaha, Nebraska on September 11, 2016.
Avatar performed at Whiskey Tango in Omaha, Nebraska on September 11, 2016. Supporting Avatar were Omaha local bands More Than a Memory and Before I Burn, along with touring band Painted Wives.
It has been a solid year since Avatar stopped in Omaha at, what I consider, one of the worst venues in the area. This time around they picked Whiskey Tango which is a new place I like to cover shows.
I have been a fan of Avatar for a couple of years and covering them twice has been a pretty awesome experience. This I was able to enjoy this heavy metal rock band from Sweden with:
Johannes Michael Gustaf Eckerström – Vocals
John Alfredsson – Drums
Kungen – Guitars
Tim Öhrström – Guitars
Henrik Sandelin – Bass
Not one to brag that I know every song and album they have released, however, I do like their work. It is heavy as hell. It isn’t just a band that plays a 45 -60 minute set, they put on a rock show. All three guitars are identically detailed, the band members wear the same uniform and they play the life out of every song. The most notable song that I know is Bloody Angel, which is the song that got me hooked three years ago.
