Technical Melodic Punk From Barcelona, Acid Snot, Releases New Single, “Amsterdam”
Barcelona’s Acid Snot have released “Amsterdam” the second single off the band’s forthcoming second full-length. A breakup note with melancholic and emo lyrics, catchy vocal harmonies, heavy riffs, a devilish djent breakdown and an anthemic half-time chorus. With a blend of skatepunk, alternative metal and pop punk, this song could melt the face of any alternative music fan or Warped Tour kid.
The band is a 4-piece Tech Melodic Punk band from Barcelona, Catalunya. After a 5-year break with all of their members scattered around the globe, they are back with new music. Their sound is influenced by bands such as A Wilhelm Scream, Counterparts, Belmont, Thousand Oaks or The Contortionist while their lyrics draw on the imagery and narrative of both modern introspective emo and political punk rock.
A Few Words form “Sloppy” Joe Lyons
I like this song a lot. The bass line really gives a good punch and who can’t love a band called Acid Snot? We may not get to see them stateside but that is not a reason to go out and enjoy their music. Amsterdam has some (I know Ryan) catchy emo lyrics and their harmonies are on point. The song hit me hard in the chest and I like that too. Find this band and follow them so you can enjoy their tunes and their speedy little riffs as much as I do! That is all I have, go get some screaming good music!
They Are:
Àlex Aubach: Bass & main vocals
Oriol Batalla: Drums & back vocals
Eduardo Arqué: Guitar & back vocals
Pablo López: Guitar
