It was a great night at Steelhouse in Omaha– starting with Signs of the Swarm leading off and then Paleface Swiss, and then came the main event of the evening- Lorna Shore. There was a lot of hype leading up to this show. And I can say that all expectations were met, and dare I say, exceeded.

Leaving this show made me feel like I had just run a metal marathon. Non-stop mosh pit and crowd surfing for the opening note. This was my first encounter with Lorna Shore, and I can say that it won’t be my last. They have been around since 2009, and I can see why they seem to get bigger each year. These guys know how to entertain a crowd for sure.

The band is currently Adam De Micco on lead guitar, Andrew O’Connor on rhythm guitar, Will Ramos on vocals, Austin Archey on drums, and Michael Yager on bass guitar.  As a whole, the band was amazing and Ramos on vocals was incredible. The crowd at the Steelhouse was all in and had the floor shaking…literally. It was an impressive show to see and hear. I know Omaha is a Midwest city and people may not think it’s a good crowd for a show like this, but I have witnessed some incredible shows where the crowds are amazing, and this was one of them.

Lorna Shore has five full album releases, the latest came out late last year, “I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me”. I feel that each album is a little stronger than the previous. I do realize there has been some line up changes over the years, but as they are now, Lorna Shore is a great band and you will be sorry if you miss this tour. It is power packed start to finish.
