Return to Dust made their second appearance at the Bourbon Theater and third overall appearance in Nebraska in Less than a year. They are becoming true road warriors. Which is obviously the way for a newer band to get out there and let the people know who they are. I was excited to be able to catch them again in their return to The Bourbon. They are a high energy band that is backed by some amazing songs. Since they were on the opening bill this night, the crowd was only able to get a sample of what Return to Dust is about, but they definitely made the most of the time they were given.
Return to Dust is made up of Matty Bielawski on guitar and vocals, Graham Stanush on bass and vocals, Sebastion Gonzales on guitar, and London Hudson on drums. Matty and Graham have a unique set up of trading off on lead vocals that work well with the songs. If you haven’t listened to them yet you should definitely give them a chance. If you’re into guitar driven, heavy sounds- then these guys are something you should give a listen to. I had not heard of them the first time I saw them several months ago, but since then, their debut album has become a staple of my listening throughout the day. Songs like Belly Up, Black Road, and Cellophane are amazing. And they sound even better live.
Return to Dust has some big tours coming up, notably with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. So the arena stage is not far off for these guys. Matty told me a single is coming soon and following that an EP. Can’t wait to hear the new music! You can pre-save the new single and hear it on April 25th.
