On March 5th, 2026, Mammoth took over the stage at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York, delivering a performance that proved once again that Wolfgang Van Halen has firmly carved out his own place in modern rock. The packed room (SOLD OUT CROWD) buzzed with anticipation before the first note, and from the moment the band launched into the opening song, the energy never let up.
Seeing Mammoth live is always a reminder of just how much talent Wolfgang Van Halen brings to the table. Known for playing nearly every instrument on his recordings, he brings that same musical
mastery to the stage with confidence and precision. Whether he’s laying down heavy riffs, locking into grooves, or stepping up to the mic, it’s clear that he understands every layer of the music he’s created. That level of musicianship shows in the tightness of the band and the way each song hits with both power and purpose.
What stands out more and more each time I see Mammoth perform is how comfortable Wolfgang looks on stage and you can tell he is enjoying it seeing him smiling. There’s a natural confidence that continues to grow with every tour. Gone is any sense of proving himself—now it feels like an artist fully settled into his own sound and identity. Mammoth’s music blends hard rock hooks, thick guitar tones, and big melodic choruses, and it’s clear that Wolfgang has established a style that’s unmistakably his.
The Town Ballroom crowd fed off that energy all night. Fans sang along, fists pumped in the air, and every solo or crushing riff drew cheers from the packed floor. The band sounded massive in the room, yet everything remained tight and controlled—exactly what you want from a modern rock show.
More than anything, the performance felt like watching an artist hitting his stride. Wolfgang Van Halen isn’t just carrying on a legacy—he’s building one of his own, and he’s absolutely kicking ass doing it.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Wolfgang. Each time we see Mammoth live, it’s exciting to watch the evolution continue.
