Falling in Reverse Brought their electrifying God Is a Weapon Tour to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, transforming the venue into pure energy and emotional catharsis.
Hollywood Undead
Hollywood Undead kicked off the night for Falling in Reverse with an energy filled set. The Los Angeles rap and rockers delivered a quick eight song set to get the fans on their feet. They exploded into their set with the pounding drums of “Riot”. The quick catchy raps lead perfectly into “CHAOS”, another high energy track. Once the opening strings of their biggest hit “Everywhere I Go” rung through the venue, cheers and energy reached the peak of their set. Hollywood Undead’s chemistry is infectious. blending Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, Danny, and Matt Oloffson’s talents, delivered a performance that was both polished and unhinged.
Slaughter to Prevail
Slaughter to Prevail brought their savage deathcore energy to the night for Falling in Reverse. They emerged onto the stage all wearing gold and silver masks, peaking the interest of the audience. Kicking off with “Bonebreaker” Lead singer Alex Terrible’s guttural roars ignited the crowd, as well as sparking plenty of moshing. “Baba Yago” kept the intensity soaring with brutal breakdowns. The set closed with “Conflict”, unleashing chaos onto the fans from Terrible’s deep growls and piercing shrieks.
Falling in Reverse
When it was finally time for Falling in Reverse to take the stage, large screens on stage lit up, showing a puppet version of lead singer Ronnie Radke. After he introduced himself, “Sweet Caroline” started to play as the band’s ‘walk-up’ song. It began with Radke on a couch backstage, slowly making his way to the stage. The closer he got, the louder the cheers became. Not a second wasted, they hopped right into “Prequel”, followed by flames across the stage that would continue through the show. The heavy guitar riffs seamlessly transitioned into another punching track, “ZOMBIFIED”. By this point, the audience knew they were in for an unforgettable night.
The setlist was perfectly made for new and returning fans. The first half of the setlist was full of nostalgia, hitting some of their classics, such as “I’m Not A Vampire” and “The Drug in Me Is You”. These of course sparked passionate sing alongs and thunderous cheers going into each song. To perfectly close the older tracks, Radke surprised the audience with the opening guitar of “Situations”, a track from Radke’s early days in the band Espcape The Fate. To begin into their newer tracks, they started off with “All My Women”, their most recent single with a country twang. The style shift caught the audience off guard, but the confident delivery won the crowd over. The bold genre blending proved Falling in Reverse refuses to confide to expectations in the metal music scene.
“God Is a Weapon”, the tour’s name track, hit the crowd hard. The sharp strums seamlessly brought the setlist into their heavier metal tracks for the closing stretch. “Watch the World Burn” made the energy reach its peak, Radke showcased that he has mastered rapid-fire rapping, visceral screams, and slow melodic vocals. Closing with a cover of Queen’s “We Are the Champions”, the amphitheater filled with thousands of voices singing in unison. It was a perfect cap to the night.
Falling in Reverse’s God Is a Weapon tour was a cathartic release and a testament to the bands enduring power. Seamlessly blending old hits, new anthems and surprises created the perfect night for the audience.
