Iron Maiden Announces New 2017 North American Tour Dates, Ghost to Serve as Support Act!
With Ed Force One all patched up after taking damage last year, Iron Maiden are heading back out on tour in support of their latest album, The Book of Souls. The metal icons have just announced a fresh round of North American dates that will bring them to a number of cities they missed last year, and some they haven’t visited in ages.
Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, and Oakland will welcome the long-overdue return of Bruce Dickinson and the boys, who’ll also be performing in Brooklyn for the first time ever. Other stops include Philadelphia, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, and Toronto. All of the shows will feature Swedish metal phenoms Ghost as openers.
“We will, of course, be bringing the full production with us including all the Eddies and the Maya-themed stage sets,” bassist Steve Harris said in a statement. “There’s been a great reaction from everyone to this tour’s theme, people really seem to love it. We’re still deciding on the final set-list and we’ll work that out once we get into rehearsals. Most of our North American fans haven’t seen the show yet so as we want to give them the same Book of Souls live experience that we took around the world, it’s unlikely we’ll change much. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, so we will continue to do that!”
Tickets go on sale on January 27th.
